Description
Taj Mahal Satin Quartzite is a refined natural stone from Brazil, featuring a soft white to creamy background with subtle, flowing veining reminiscent of Calacatta marble. Finished with a satin (brushed) texture, it offers a more muted, tactile surface that enhances the stone’s natural depth while maintaining a sophisticated, understated look.
Combining the beauty of marble with the superior durability of quartzite, it is well suited for kitchen countertops and high-use surfaces without the risk of etching. During fabrication, epoxy resin is applied to fill natural pits and fissures, while slabs are typically book-matched to create a continuous, mirrored pattern. A mesh backing is also applied for added stability during handling and installation. Due to the hardness of quartzite, certain edge profiles may be limited and should be confirmed with the fabricator.
As a quartzite with a more open structure, sealing with a penetrating sealer is recommended to ensure long-term protection and performance.
