Description
Blue Galaxy is a distinctive granite quarried from a bedrock deposit in India. Featuring a creamy white background accented with large blue-gray crystals, this stone offers a unique and dynamic appearance. Clear and milky quartz crystals intersperse with spears of biotite, creating natural depth and visual texture, while occasional areas of oxidation introduce warm rust tones for added character.
Due to the natural qualities of the stone, slabs are book-matched. Consecutive slabs are cut and polished to create a mirrored effect, then kept in sequence to ensure a consistent flow in pattern—ideal for waterfall islands, feature walls, and large-scale installations.
During polishing, an epoxy resin is applied to fill natural pits, fissures, or micro-cracks. This process enhances the finish without affecting the stone’s durability, maintenance, or inherent beauty. In rare cases, extremely small pits that cannot retain resin may reopen during additional finishing stages; however, this does not compromise the overall quality or appearance.
For added safety during handling and fabrication, a mesh backing is adhered to the back of each slab. As with all natural stone products, periodic sealing is recommended to maintain the stone’s longevity and beauty.
