Black Savannah satin is a striking granite quarried from a bedrock deposit in Brazil. Known for its dramatic variation, this stone features sweeping fields of beige and cream accented by bold black and rich gold veining. The dynamic movement and high contrast create a powerful visual statement, making each slab truly one of a kind.
During the polishing process, an epoxy resin is applied to the surface to fill any natural pits, fissures, or micro-cracks. This enhances the finish and surface integrity without affecting the stone’s durability, maintenance, or natural beauty. In rare cases, extremely small pits that cannot effectively retain resin may reopen during later finishing stages; however, this does not compromise the overall quality or appearance of the material.
Due to the inherent qualities of the stone, slabs are book-matched. Consecutive slabs are cut and polished to form a mirrored image, then kept in sequence to ensure a cohesive, flowing pattern—ideal for waterfall islands, feature walls, and large-scale installations.
For added safety during handling and fabrication, a mesh backing is adhered to the back of each slab. As with all natural stone products, periodic sealing is recommended to help protect the surface and extend its longevity.
