Description
Black Mist is quarried from a bedrock deposit in Brazil and is admired for its understated elegance and soapstone-inspired appearance. Featuring a deep black background accented by soft gray movement and subtle white quartz veining, this granite delivers a refined, organic aesthetic.
While similar in look to soapstone, Black Mist offers greater durability and requires less maintenance—making it a practical alternative for both residential and commercial spaces.
Like all honed black granites, raw slabs naturally present a deep charcoal-gray tone. When a stone enhancer is applied, the surface deepens to a rich, true black, intensifying contrast and enhancing the stone’s natural character.
Due to its inherent qualities, slabs are book-matched. Consecutive slabs are cut and finished to create a mirrored image, then kept in sequence to ensure a cohesive and continuous flow—ideal for waterfall islands, feature walls, and statement installations.
For maintenance, Black Mist Honed may require resealing approximately every six months for interior applications and more frequently in exterior environments, depending on exposure and use.
