Description
Bianco Typhoon Granite is quarried from a bedrock deposit in northern India, sourced from an expansive formation stretching approximately 35 miles. This large geological deposit contributes to the natural variation seen from shipment to shipment, with differences in grain structure and crystal size adding to the uniqueness of each batch.
The stone features a creamy white background enriched by flowing movement of biotite and quartz throughout the slab, creating depth and dimension. Distinctive mica inclusions give the surface a subtle three-dimensional shimmer, allowing it to catch and reflect light beautifully.
Due to the stone’s inherent qualities, slabs are typically book-matched. Consecutive slabs are cut and polished to create a mirrored image, then kept in sequence to ensure a cohesive, continuous pattern—ideal for waterfall islands, feature walls, and large-scale installations.
During the polishing process, an epoxy resin is applied to fill any natural pits, fissures, or micro-cracks. This enhances the finished surface without affecting the durability, maintenance, or overall beauty of the stone. In rare cases, extremely small pits that cannot effectively retain resin may reopen during later finishing stages; however, this does not compromise the quality or appearance of the material.
For optimal longevity and protection, periodic sealing is recommended, as with all natural stone products.
