Description

Galaxy Black is quarried from a boulder quarry located near the town of Markapur, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The size and color of each block is fairly consistent between shipments. It is possible to have some slight veining in this color, or consolidation of the gold flecks. Because it is such a dense stone, and there are minimal micro fissures and pitting, no resin is applied to the surface.

Piece to piece variation in shade or color are inherent in all natural stone products; therefore, when installing natural stone tile, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. As natural stone products, it is recommended that these be sealed to extend their longevity.
This granite is also known as Amethyst Black, Black Galaxy, Black Star Galaxy, or Midnight Magic.
