Description

Carbon Grey Satin is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Brazil. The quarry has the ability to produce a huge amount of material with a consistent grain structure, making this granite perfect for large projects as well as for kitchen countertops. The Satin finish brings out more depth in this stone and provides a unique texture. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity. In order to get the Satin finish on this granite the slabs are brushed which opens up the pours in the stone making it more porous and extra coats of sealer need to be applied to fully seal this material. It may take 2 to 4 coats of sealer. This granite can also be installed in full sun applications, making it ideal for backyard barbeques and similar installations. Finally, a mesh backing is adhered to the back of the stone to ensure safety while handling and fabricating the slab.
This material is also called Vermont Black or Anthracite.
